Tin cap is a common closure choice in the cosmetic, beverage, and nutraceutical industries due to their attractive high-end look. When you are choosing the perfect metal screw cap for your product, there are two main material choices:
Tinplate steel coated with anti-corrosive coating
Aluminum
Tinplate steel coated with anti-corrosive coating introduce.
Electrolytic tinplate caps, or tin coated steel caps, are a popular choice for metal closures. Tin plate steel has a glossy, mirror like aesthetic; it has even been substituted for lightweight mirrors in specialty applications.Tinplate steel metal caps are often colored and coated in advance to provide uniform color and coating application throughout the closure surface area. However, tin coated steel caps are more susceptible to corrosion and require a protective coating. This protective coating is applied at the lithography facility to help maintain the print and color on the cap. Tin-plate steel is generally more competitively priced and is available with a number of stock color options (white, black, yellow, red, gold, silver, pewter, etc.).
Aluminum introduce.
Aluminum closures are known to be lightweight and are most commonly used for products in high humidity environments (such as a bathroom), high salt content products, or water. Aluminum closures are also able to withstand a wide range of temperature tolerances and are resistant to fracture from impact. But due to raw material prices, aluminum metal closures generally carry a higher cost. Due to it’s beautiful neutral color, aluminum metal screw caps are often made with no color coating, but custom colors are possible for specialty applications.
